A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Great Big Read 2021 challenge. Merley had a 30% participation level across the school which is fantastic!  

We raised £427.75 in book fair sales and donations, which will benefit Merley with £280.91 extra books. Thank you so much for helping to replenish our reading resources.

Across all participating Great Big Read schools and nurseries, children raised a phenomenal £8,078.48 books! You can see a short video celebrating the grand total from the Great Big Read team here

All Virtual Book Fair orders plus goodie packs, which include your child’s certificate, aim to be delivered to school and distributed before the end of this term.

The Great Big Read team is collecting feedback via a short 2-minute online survey which you can complete here. If you didn’t participate in this year’s challenge, your feedback is particularly helpful.
